Generally, one would associate a concept, an idea or innovation with a new gadget or mechanical tool. We stress that concepts can be also in the realm of pure mathematics, pure arts.. even travel tips and have especially precious value when they are geared towards social change for the better or eradication of hunger, curbing of wastage or reduction in use of resources. For example: concepts towards changing the mindset of peoples re their inherent distrust / fear / even hatred of people 'not belonging' can create an environment from where great things (not just peace), blossom.
Submitters are encouraged to cover the following aspects - 1. The concept, idea or innovation. 2. The circumstance that prompted the submitter to be inspired about this. 3. The resources required for its development. 4. The time the project could take to see the light of day. 5. The approximate cost in man-power, to the environment and funds. 6. The benefit to mankind.
We would like to advise both the submitters and visitors that it is only a very small percentage of concepts, ideas or innovations that eventually see a market but that does not mean that those that do not actually make it or make it 'big' are useless. One never knows when an off-shoot of a tiny venture results in another concept that turns out to be priceless. We understand that quite a few of the appliances in the market today are due to research done on the 'Star Wars' project. 'Star Wars' was scrapped eventually but a tremendous number of products that have no resemblance to the parent project are part of our everyday lives.
