Cockpit Immobiliser

To prevent hijacking of an aircraft, it should be possible to remotely immobilise the cockpit and remotely bring the plane down safely.

It should be possible to execute the process only by a minimum of three separately located command centers.

This does not stop the hijackers from destroying the aircraft (if they have the means to do so) but they will not be able to pilot the craft to destruction.

With the current advancement in technology, it is very feasible and would enhance the sense of safety and confidence experienced by the passengers. Think about this, other than a catastrophic failure of all the engines, it would be possible to forcibly control the aircraft from a command centre interlocked by coordinated intervention.

Such a system must have an independent power supply which cannot be controlled from the cockpit.
